Egyptian Minister of Health inspects medical services in Fayoum hospitals

The Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, on Monday inspected the medical services of Al-Nabawi Al-Muhandis Hospital in Fayoum.

The visit was part of a series of field visits to medical facilities in the governorates of the republic to monitor the progress of works and ensure the quality of medical services provided to patients.

During his tour, the Minister led the rapid development of a service system in the hospital and the assignment of medical teams to receive citizens, see to their needs and guide them with the necessary procedures and steps. to facilitate medical services.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar – official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population – explained that the minister inspected the medical services provided to patients in 15 different departments of the hospital, including clinics for internal medicine, kidney artificial, maxillofacial surgery, burns and plastic surgery. , and more.

Abdel Ghaffar added that the minister inspected the renovations of the emergency department and also followed the progress of the works, stressing the importance of the hospital due to its geographical location in the center of the city of Fayoum.

The hospital serves around 3.5 million people in the governorate and has a capacity of 306 beds, 44 intensive care beds, 45 nurseries, 70 dialysis machines and nine operating theatres.

The spokesperson also pointed out that the Minister inspected the progress of the services provided in the center which is part of the 100 million healthy lives initiative, the monitoring of its electronic system, the database of beneficiaries and the procedures for periodic monitoring.
